The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 Shield Goes Undercover In All-Black

The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 Shield Goes Undercover In All-Black

The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 is nearing the end of its lifecycle, but it’s gearing up for the inclement weather in the meantime via its Shield variant.

While similar in shape to the standard iteration of the 38th Nike Pegasus, the newly-surfaced proposition delivers weather resistance using the Swoosh’s proprietary protective solution instead of GORE-TEX like the Nike Pegasus Trail 3. Nike React foam proffers tried-and-proven cushioning, which is accompanied by encapsulated Zoom Air units and slightly-reimagined tread. The midsole is covered in reflective speckling, while the upper’s profiles are reinforced with synthetic, ostensibly fuse material. Lastly, Nike Shield emblems on the lateral heel and vamp denote the pair’s anti-weather finish.

Enjoy official images of the weather-ready runner here below, as you wait for a Nike.com release.

For more from the Swoosh, check out the LeBron 19 “Tune Squad” set to release soon.
