As part of the adidas EQT line’s 30th anniversary, the Three Stripes tapped a panel of collaborators for its “Life Needs Equipment” collection. Among them, Germany’s very own Overkill boutique, which has outfitted the adidas EQT CSG 91 in pastels derived from original offerings from the Equipment series.
Originally designed under an “Homage” title, the newly-surfaced pair combines elements of the adidas EQT Cushion, Support and Guidance from the early 1990s. (The forefoot and heel takes after the Guidance, mid-foot the Cushion and Support.) As such, a white and grey color palette takes over much of the sneaker’s base. Profile 3-Stripes and detailing throughout the remainder of the textile and leather upper, as well as the outsole, indulge in vibrant green, pink and blue tones. While not originally part of adidas‘ decades-old collection, the color trifecta serves as a modern update of EQT heritage. Branding on the tongue label and bottom heel is divvied up between both German institutions, with the right shoe donning Overkill’s logos. Lastly, interchangeable lace dubraes boast adidas Consortium flair, and offer more pops of color to the already-bold style
Enjoy campaign imagery of the collaboration here below, and find pairs arriving to Overkill’s Cologne shop on October 16th. Remaining pairs will be available at Overkill.com
