Michael Le Thanks arguably in part to adidas Yeezy, the sneaker boot is finally seeing a resurgence. Jordan Brand seems to be aiding in this effort, bringing back the Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG in its “Black/Gum” colorway.
Inspired by the utility-intense Special Field Boot, the shoe is protected with water-resistant coatings, a gusseted tongue, metal eyelets, and a robust tread. In regards to color, the upper’s leather and suede construction is bereft of it, dressed fully in black neutrals. Below, however, the palette turns just a bit more interesting as the tooling opts for a “Light Gum” finish.
