Jovani Hernandez Having kept relatively quiet following an abysmal showing in the 2020 Presidential Race, Ye – the being formerly known as “Kanye West” – has maintained a chokehold on news headlines since embarking on the rollout for “DONDA,” his 10th studio album, towards the end of summer. On the footwear front, the 44-year-old has divided internet audiences with propositions like the adidas YZY NSLTD BOOT, which he recently unveiled in an all-black colorway.
Effectively built on the YEEZY FOAM RUNNER‘s sole unit, the model debuted at retail on November 5th. Built for inclement weather, the silhouette features an aggressive tread solution, as well as a puffy, quilted body that extends all the way to the lower calf area. While a newer entry in the YEEZY boots family, the NSLTD option has revealed some of what to expect next from Ye, as it arguably mixes function and fashion better than any other design under the adidas YEEZY umbrella. Lastly, the all-black pair Ye wore to a Los Angeles Lakers game appears to boast a glossy finish across the body, which suggests a reflective coating has been added to the already-bold boot.
