Jovani Hernandez Whether you follow sneakers closely or not, it’s highly likely you’ve come across more than one pair of the Nike Dunk Low throughout 2021. With the model’s resurgence in mainstream popularity over the last three years, the brand has revisited dozens of original and iconic colorways, delivering them to a new audience in one-to-one fashion. Other styles, like the newly-surfaced “Dark Marina Blue” option, seemingly draw inspiration from these past releases, presenting beloved color-blockings in a new light.
Dubbed the “Un-Argon” by savvy collectors for its similarity in hues to a Japan-exclusive co.jp proposition from 2001, the upcoming sneakers indulge in to varying blues across their synthetic leather upper. The lighter of the two shades takes over the pair’s base, while the low-top Nike Dunk‘s overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue and across the heel opt for the titular “Dark Marina Blue” color, effectively inverting the original “Argon”‘s arrangement. Laces, branding and midsoles deviate in stark white, while the Air Jordan 1 Low-reminiscent outsole opts for one last bit of rich blue flair, further drawing comparisons to its 20-year-old predecessor.
Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch in the coming months.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 4 is set to have an eventful 2022.
