The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 may have allowed some of its kin to revel in the spotlight throughout most of 2021, but it’s taken that last few months of the year to reinsert itself into mainstream sneaker consciousness. Before Ye – the being formerly known as “Kanye West” – and team deliver more footwear of the future in 2022, they’re offering the Boost-cushioned silhouette in a versatile “MX Rock” colorway.
Structurally, the latest Yeezys opt for a tried-and-proven design, boasting the beloved heel tab that has been absent from most 350s of the last two years. PRIMEKNIT patterns throughout the upper, however, indulge in one of the model’s most experimental patterns. Akin to past “MX” styles, perhaps most notably seen on the Yeezy Foam Runner, various streaks of color blend together to create a “random” marbling effect; black, grey and brown claim real estate on the sneaker’s top-half, with the darkest tone of the trio dominating the scene. Mesh panels on the lateral side join the aforementioned heel tab and ribbed midsole in also opting for a pitch-dark makeup.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a launch on December 22nd at the usual Yeezy stockists.
