Michael Le Though originally intended to release alongside Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2021 line-up, the Air Jordan 13 “Court Purple” fell victim to the usual delays. And while another is not unlikely, we’re fairly confident that the colorway will make it to its currently scheduled January 8th date.
Overlooked relative to the Air Jordan 1 and 4, the AJ13 saw very few releases across 2021. The “Court Purple” was but a step in the right direction, its materials and construction not too unlike many of the originals. Robust tumbled leathers laid in a dark black across the toe, matched by the profile’s reflective and dimpled ballistic nylon. Suedes, then, dress the mudguard and heel, both dyed the titular “Court Purple” just like the Jumpman embroidery at the tongue.
