BAPE And Reebok Start 2022 By Teasing Spring/Summer Collection

BAPE And Reebok Start 2022 By Teasing Spring/Summer Collection

The world is only three days into the new year and it’s already been treated to the confirmation of a full-blown sneaker collection between A BATHING APE (BAPE) and Reebok.

While not strangers to one another, having worked on silhouettes like the Electrolyte 97 and Club C, the upcoming efforts are expected to be the partnership’s most robust yet. One interpretation of the logo lockup teased by both parties via social media is that the six camouflage patterns featured in the teaser image reference six different offerings from the Japanese and North American connection. If the number of colors included in the co-branded promotional material doesn’t confirm a set number of releases, it may suggest that the pairs that drop throughout spring and summer will continue boasting the varying camouflage styles in mismatched fashion, as the aforementioned Club C and a Reebok Instapump Fury did. Lastly, the art direction found in the teaser image may have nothing to do with the specifications of BAPE and Reebok’s upcoming efforts, and everything to do with getting people talking. And that it has.

Keep your eyes peeled for a release of the collaboration’s first full-blown capsule by the end of the month, with launch details confirmed by both parties on January 10th.

In other sneaker news, a handful of 2022 Yeezy releases are expected in the first few months of the new year.
