Glow-In-The-Dark Outsoles Land On The Latest New Balance 1500

Glow-In-The-Dark Outsoles Land On The Latest New Balance 1500

The New Balance 1500 is far from being the most-coveted style from the North American institution, but it continues to boast a cult-like following. Recently, the 33-year-old design has employed a glow-in-the-dark sole unit to complement the darker color palette it features across the upper.

Unlike most iterations of the silhouette, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a number of canvas panels atop its breathable mesh base. Premium pig suede and leather overlays also enter the fold, dominating the mid-foot area on New Balance‘s historically-Made in U.K. proposition. Most of the brand’s logo hits take on an eye-catching purple tone, while their surroundings opt for a much more muted white and black color combination. At quick glance, the sole units allow the upper to steal the show with their “plain” arrangement, but closer inspection reveals a glow-in-the-dark finish to the outsole. Under the right lighting conditions, then, help animate the fall-appropriate offering.

Elsewhere under the Boston-based brand’s umbrella, the New Balance 550 is expected to have another successful year throughout 2022.
