The Air Jordan 1 Mid is widely considered an “uncool” sneaker from NIKE, Inc., but that hasn’t deterred it from appearing in compelling colorways throughout the last several years. With a healthy mix of heritage-inspired and fashion-forward styles, the silhouette has won over even some of the most stubborn skeptics, with a newly-surfaced “White/Neon Green” looking to convert more nay-sayers.
Perhaps a nod to the Air Jordan 1‘s “Metallic” collection from the 1980s, the upcoming sneakers predominantly indulge in a “colorless” arrangement across their upper and sole unit. Contrast arrives sparingly, but makes a statement given its lime green-reminiscent makeup; toe boxes, profile swooshes, collar underlays and Nike Dunk-like outsoles are clad in a spring-ready “Neon Green” tone. Branding on the lateral ankle flap and top of the tongue also follow suit, contributing yet another experimental take to the storied Air Jordan line of products.
Official Nike.com launch details haven’t been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as spring inches closer. In the meantime, enjoy a first-look at the pair ahead, courtesy of Anh Pham (@pvasneakers on Instagram).
