If you weren’t aware, 2021 was the Air Huarache‘s 30th anniversary. And we wouldn’t blame you for not knowing, as Nike didn’t quite celebrate it like they did the Air Max 90 the year prior. 2022, though, is slowly making up for things, as the shoe has been revealed in refreshing colorways such as the “Yin-and-Yang,” “Mowabb,” and the newly unveiled “Tortoise Shell.”
Often seen on and commonly associated with glasses frames, the latter pattern is timeless in its own right. Here, it wraps the side of the Huarache’s upper, applied atop a panel that passes for acetate only in stills. The heel piece, though similarly robust, deviates in a bright orange, matching the tongue label but not the white suede and synthetic that builds out the base underneath.

Elsewhere at Nike, the brand is gearing up for the Summer with the Air Max 90 Golf Picnic.
