The Velvet-Covered Dover Street Market x Nike Dunk Low Releases February 5th

Back in May of last year, it was revealed that Dover Street Market was working on a collaborative Dunk Low. Both colorways — one black, the other a Triple White — were revealed to be made of velvet, a choice far more luxurious than the waterproof Dunk Highs from 2015. And after what felt like months of radio silence, the retailer themselves teased additional imagery just last week, stating that it was to “arrive soon.”

“Soon” is almost here — only a couple of days, to be exact. Come this Saturday, the two pairs will be releasing side-by-side, flaunting a mix of suede and velvet materials in their respective neutrals. Matching linings, midsoles, and laces sit adjacent, blending into the palette much like the tongue and heel’s Nike branding. As for DSM’s name, it’s given a brighter spotlight, easily readable across the left foot’s insole.
