The Next Nike Blazer Mid ’77 For Kids Gets A Clean “White/Grey” Makeover

The Next Nike Blazer Mid ’77 For Kids Gets A Clean “White/Grey” Makeover

As NIKE, Inc. continues to focus on the “next big thing” for its basketball footwear lineup, the North American conglomerate continues to tap into its heritage to deliver nostalgic, but refreshing takes of some of yesteryear’s novel designs. The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 continues to lead the charge in relation to these efforts.

Recently, the first official Nike Basketball shoe surfaced in an extremely simple, but stylish white and grey colorway for kids. Akin to most of the silhouette’s most signature arrangements, the upcoming sneakers indulge in smooth synthetic leather across the upper, which favors a “colorless” look. Profile swooshes, upper heel underlays and reinforcement panels around the forefoot deviate in a slight grey, resembling “Neutral Grey” options from the Air Jordan lineup. Sole units maintain a relatively standard aesthetic, but one look at the tread reveals a Nike Grind update to the 1970s design; the speckled dark grey material is comprised of manufacturing floor scraps up-cycled as part of the Swoosh’s “Move to Zero” campaign.

No firm Nike.com release date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change once spring gets underway. While you wait, enjoy official images of the shoes here below.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 1 “Georgetown” is set to release come April.
