Introduced in the summer of 2021, the Jordan Point Lane hasn’t stolen much spotlight from Michael Jordan’s signature line of footwear, but it’s won over some consumers, converting them to evangelists.
Over the last seven months, the silhouette has appeared in a few colorways directly borrowed from models like the Air Jordan 6, but it’s gone in a slightly-different direction for its latest ensemble. While somewhat reminiscent of the original Nike Air Max 180’s “Ultramarine” look, the upcoming Jordan Point Lane – named in honor of #23’s home in Highland Park, Illinois – opts for a modern-day “Fireberry”-like tone across the outsole and branding. The color has most recently made a statement on an Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT, yet another experimental addition to MJ’s storied lineup. Furthermore, the extended Air Max unit underfoot delivers performance-running-informed cushioning to the basketball-inspired silhouette for a “MasterClass” in hybrid design from NIKE, Inc.
