It’s clear in their earlier marketing efforts that adidas thought the Ultra 4D was going to be the next big thing. And while the logical conclusion for both the silhouette and the cushioning, the silhouette very quickly faded into the background. This year, though, we may see it return to the spotlight, as the Three Stripes are soon to bring out additional colorways.
Atop this newest pair, which is slated to hit shelves next week, “Almost Lime” drives the palette. The most notable features, such as the cage and weave pattern, are highlighted in said neon, tonally breaking up the monotony of the black fixtures adjacent. And while “Silver Metallic” may join alongside, it’s used solely for the “ULTRA4D” branding across the heel.
