As the world awaits for the Nike Air Max 97 to return in original “Silver Bullet,” the North American brand is experimenting with Christian Tresser’s 25-year-old design. Recently, the sneaker emerged in a color scheme that features some of the inaugural style’s flair.
Aptly-dubbed the “White Bullet,” the upcoming pair indulges in “Metallic Silver” and “White” tones across its synthetic leather and mesh upper. The greyish hue takes over much of the shoes’ base layer, while a contrasting “White” tone covers overlays throughout the upper in the same fashion that “Metallic Silver” would cover the Air Max 97‘s debut look. Swoosh logos on the top of the tongue and mid-foot opt for rich red, which also lands on the tread underfoot. Lastly, full-length Air Max bubble reverts to an off-white ensemble that helps tie the “White Bullet” aesthetic together well.
Enjoy an early look at the shoes ahead, and expect a Nike.com launch before 2022 ends.
