As Air Max Day 2022 inches closer, the Swoosh has begun to unveil some of its Nike Air Max 1 collaborations to celebrate both the model and its cushioning’s 35th anniversary. Among the several partners that’ve signed on to commemorate the milestone anniversary is Concepts, which has covered Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design in a slew of bandana patterns and other 1960s music festival-related details.

Akin to two accompanying colorways, the upcoming pair featured a medley of colors and materials across its 35-year-old upper. Denim-reminiscent panels come together with faux animal fur, paisley-covered canvas and other spring-ready graphics and prints. Concepts didn’t specify which music festivals informed this or its Air Max 1 “Mellow” offering, but it’s evident that its next batch of Swoosh-branded collaborations indulge in a youthful energy. On the subject of youth, the purple mudguard-donning Air Max will arrive in Pre School, ensuring even the youngest sneaker enthusiasts get in on the fun. Lastly, the Boston-based boutique stamps its name in playful styling on the tops of the velvet tongues and on the special edition shoe box.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, as you wait to see if a Nike SNKRS launch is in the works.
