This Nike Air Max 1 Ostensibly Draws Inspiration From “Skunk” SB Dunks

Air Max Day and 4/20, though almost exactly a month apart, are coming together by way of this Air Max 1, whose colorway is ostensibly inspired by the beloved Nike SB Dunk High “Skunk” from 2010.

While not 1:1 in its impression, the pair cuts extremely close, as it makes use of the Dunk’s deep green and purple suedes. The material’s texture, too, feels familiar, though the surface is not quite as rough as what’s found on said SB. As for its differences, the Air Max 1 forgoes the stash pocket, and includes a series of light tan panels across the mesh toe, leather quarter, and lining. What’s more, the flat laces feature a white-detailed pattern and the heel is branded with “Nike Air Max.”
