The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Waverunner” is officially back! Originally dropping back in August 12th, 2017, this running-inspired shoe has been heralded as one of the best Yeezy sneakers to date as its instantly recognizable design and colorway kickstarted the chunky dad shoe trend of the last half decade. While that fad cooled off a bit, 700s are still very much a part of the lifestyle sneaker scene, so the Waverunner 700s couldn’t have returned at a better time.
While Kanye West and the adidas Yeezy brand certainly branched off from these safer, more pedestrian models with daring styles like the Yeezy 450 and Knit Runner, the Yeezy 700 still serves as the backbone of his footwear legacy alongside the Yeezy Boost 350 v2. Simply put, Waverunners are a sneakerhead staple and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone not interested in this release.
One thing we can’t ignore is the retail price. While the 700s started off at $300 MSRP, it was brought down to a reasonable $240 for the last few release. adidas clearly understands the demand behind this sneaker, so it’ll cost you another $60 if you’ve been accustomed to the lowered MSRP.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 “Waverunner” is officially back on March 22nd, 2022 for $300. Sign-ups are currently open on the adidas Confirmed App, but check back regularly for an updated store list.
