Sneaker News 2022 marks the return of the Air Mada, a silhouette originally released in 1994 and designed by Sergio Lazano. And after surfacing in “Sandalwood” back in January, the shoe has appeared in additional, ACG-friendly colorways — this “Dark Raisin” pair just one of many more to come.
At a glance, this pair bears a passing resemblance to the above-mentioned OG. The tones themselves, however, are a bit more muted than what’s familiar, with dark tans substituting for the lighter “Sandalwood.” Adjacent, the purple accents and base, too, appear desaturated, especially across the lining and counter; the mesh inserts, lace unit, and Swoosh, though, are just a bit more color accurate.
