Michael Le Air Max Day 2022 outdoes last year’s celebration by no small margin, as everything on the calendar — specifically, the three previously-revealed Air Max 1s — are some of the best releases the holiday has seen in a long while. Unfortunately, we in the US won’t be able to secure everything on offer, as the Air Max 1 “La Ville Lumière” colorway will be releasing exclusively in Europe.
An ode to Paris, the “City of Light,” the shoe is a stunning but muted arrangement, whose mid-panel and heel are treated with a colorful, iridescent finish. This visual nod to the shoe’s theme is then balanced out by neutral hits of “Summit White,” “Light Bone,” and “Navy,” all three of which reflect the fashion of the city. Additionally, the pair’s tongue is marked with “3.26” in reference to Air Max Day, while “La Ville Lumière” and additional text are printed along the outsole.
Packaged with a silver metallic keychain, these Air Max 1s are slated to hit the EU on March 26th. For a closer look ahead of the release, see the detailed images below.
