Reinforced by the Air Jordan 1 Low LV8D’s latest appearances — which placed a platform sole underfoot familiar, OG-inspired colorways — the “LV8D” in its name seemed to stand for literal height. But with its newest offering, Jordan Brand is taking a more figurative approach, as they provide the modified silhouette not only gold and silver hits but also bead-constructed accessories.
Luxurious in its palette, most of the upper is riddled with silver overlays, whose panels display an imprint akin to a chain link fence. Gilded accents arrive alongside, though they leave a more subtle impression as they mark the heel and its minimal take on the iconic Wings logo. Light grey leathers, then, dress adjacent — marking the Swoosh, toe cap, and eye stays — while black colors in the base and the tongue, the latter of which visually backlights the removable beaded bracelets.
