Despite the words “Air Jordan” widely conjuring up images of Michael Jordan playing in a Chicago Bulls (or later, Washington Wizards) uniform, they continue to refer to the yearly signature sneaker model released by #23’s eponymous label. As NIKE, Inc. undoubtedly works to put the finishing touches on the next silhouette, the current Air Jordan 36 has rector appeared in a Boston Celtics-friendly green and gold colorway.
Perhaps designed with Jayson Tatum in mind, the latest take on Jordan’s 36th signature sneaker outfits most of the leno-weave upper in a rich green tone. Suede overlays along the tongue and around the ankle also indulge in the titular hue, while accompanying detailing on the tongue, pull tabs and inner-lining deviate in stark black contrast. As the color palette seemingly nods to the aforementioned New England institution, shimmering golden accents enter the mix across logos hits and the midsole underfoot. Eclipse plate 2.0 cushioning and its supporting tread opt for a simple color combination that doesn’t detract from the Jordans‘ heritage-driven ensemble.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch sometime soon.
