END. Clothing and Diadora aren’t strangers to one another, having launched a number of capsules over the last 10 years. Recently, both European institutions unveiled two pairs of the Diadora V7000 as part of the “Limoncello & Grappa” collaboration.
Inspired by Italian liquors, the upcoming makeovers of Diadora’s 30-year-old designs are clad in refreshing tones while maintaining the expert craftsmanship for which the Western European nation has been known. The “Limoncello” proposition features a vibrant lemon-yellow throughout most of its suede and leather upper, donning lemon graphics on each shoes’ sock-liners. The V7000 “Grappa,” which draws inspiration from Northern Italy’s popular grape-based liquor of the same name, only indulges in subtle hits of green throughout its high-quality upper; the majority of the suede and leather panels found on the shoe opt for a grey and tan makeup that allow for the aforementioned green hue to revel in the spotlight. Shoe boxes for both options have been customized for the occasion, while a co-branded shot glass has been packaged with the shoes as well to allow buyers to properly “salute” to the collaboration with their beverage of choice.
