Barneys New York and FILA have launched a new footwear collaboration featuring six designs for men and women. The limited-edition styles build off the successful history between the two renowned brands, who have previously launched footwear and apparel collections together over the last several years.
Starting off is the iconic Original Tennis Lux x Barneys, delivered in two pristine colorways. Both are built with premium leathers and distinct accents — the men’s pair marked with a gardenia hue and a wrinkled quarter and the women’s with a pink sole and interior. Certainly one of the most versatile lifestyle shoes on the market, this luxe upgrade fulfills the many needs of that classic style-driven look. The FILA Disruptor II Exp x Barneys is arguably the most recognizable footwear model in the ever-popular “chunky shoe” category. Barneys New York gives it an elegant spin with premium leathers and touches of patent and textured textile on a crisp cream and light tan hue.
Alongside those icons are two brand new silhouettes that mirror FILA’s bold nature and its timeless look. The R1 Runner x Barneys utilizes a Vibram sole with other sport-driven intentions made evident by the pull-tabs at the tongue and the heel and the micro-mesh foam padding, while a construction keeps to the brand’s elevated standards of full grain leather, ripstop nylon, and perforated suede.
