With more than half the year left, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid continues to push Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design’s 40th anniversary forward. Recently, the silhouette joined the “I Got Next” collection.

Inspired by the very game that informed the Air Force 1‘s existence, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a basketball-friendly white, black and orange color palette. The bulk of the sneaker’s upper favors a close-to-OG “colorless” leather arrangement, though cracked suede and leather interrupt via the ankle straps and heel overlays. “I Got Next” – a phrase often uttered by hoopers looking to play pick-up games – is featured on both the aforementioned lockdown strap and sock-liners. Iridescent patent leather lands on the profile swooshes and upper spine panel, further injecting a touch of experimentation to the 1982 model. Underfoot, sole units also opt for a white, black and orange makeup, harkening back to the sport that’s inspired some of the Swoosh’s most important footwear of the last 40 years.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com release details soon.
