The Nike Air Max 90 isn’t celebrating a milestone anniversary like some of its swoosh-branded counterparts, but it continues to play a pivotal role within the brand’s lineup of footwear products even 32 years after its debut.
Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s 1990 running sneaker emerged as part of the “Set To Rise” collection, which seemingly draws inspiration from Eastern philosophies. The thematic capsule doesn’t boast the number of offering as the “Sun Club” one, for example, but that may change by the time the collection drops. Akin to an Air Force 1-variant that previously surfaced with similar detailing as Hatfield’s creation, the upcoming Air Max release indulges in a medley of muted yellows and blues coupled with stark black and red tones. “Yin-and-yang” emblems land on the lateral profile, as well as the sock-liners and aglets, while the bulk of the shoe makes a statement of its own given its semi-translucent finishes, high-quality suede and refreshing color-blocking.
No firm Nike.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
