Across 19 signature sneakers, LeBron James has brought some of his closest interests to footwear form. During the summer of 2012, the then-Miami Heat superstar gave his Nike LeBron 9 Low an Arnold Palmer-inspired makeover: half-iced tea, half-lemonade.

Aptly dubbed the “LeBronold Palmer,” the low-top iteration of James’ then current mainline shoe originally appeared as a player-exclusive for “the kid from Akron.” Netizens took the forums to fawn over the pair they thought they’s never get their hands on – let alone their feet in. As King James’ professional basketball career begins to enter its end phase, however, the Los Angeles Laker and his Swoosh family have gone into the archives to treat fans to first-time releases of some of the most-exclusive styles in the Nike LeBron catalog. The “LeBronold Palmer” LeBron 9 Low is the next offering in this initiative, which has already gotten some sneaker enthusiasts making summer plans. Everything from the “White Lime/Bright Mango/New Green” colorway to the beverage-stamped sock-liners appear on the shoe, 10 years after its debut.

Enjoy detailed campaign imagery of the pair ahead, courtesy of Sneaker Politics, as you wait to try your luck via Nike SNKRS on May 19th.
