Workwear has had an immense influence on both fashion and sneakers, as we’ve seen the humble double knee pant and Japan’s split-toed work boots appropriated many a time in the past. But rarely have the tools of construction workers bled their way into the scene quite like they’re doing now with the Nike LeBron 19 “Hard Hat.”
From the outset, the inspiration is crystal clear thanks to the shoe’s hi-vis yellow colorway. The shade dresses near every part of the upper, contrasting the light grey and see-through accents that appear along the sole, collar, and tongue. What’s more, atop many of these same fixtures, pops of black add a number of overt nods, such as the stripe-patterned Swoosh and the crane printed onto the heel. The front-facing LeBron branding, however, stick to the usual designs.
For a closer look at the Nike LeBron 19 “Hard Hat,” see the official images below. It’s likely we’ll see sizes on Nike.com and at select retailers very soon, so sit tight.
In other news, the Nike Air Trainer 1 Chlorophyll is releasing tomorrow.
