Despite more than five months remaining in the year, handfuls of Air Jordan releases have already been rumored for a 2023 drop. The latest?: The Air Jordan 5 “Mars For Her.”

Although the inspiration behind the pair hasn’t been revealed by the Jumpman family, it’s possible the sneaker draws design cues from the planet Mars and/or the Roman god of war. Tyvek leather, uncommon for Michael Jordan’s eponymous signature shoe line, covers the majority of the upper, donning a “Fire Red” tone that’s fundamental to the most successful athlete-specific series of footwear of all-time’s roster of styles. “Martian Sunrise” flair lands at the shark teeth-reminiscent accents at the midsole, while accompanying foam and Air units opt for muted “Black.” Lastly, the Jordan 5 rounds out its non-original ensemble with “Muslin”-clad lace toggles, mesh profile windows and semi-translucent tread underfoot, delivering an “aged” aesthetic to satisfy the growing interest in vintage fashion.

No firm Nike SNKRS launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but reliable sneaker rumor source @zSneakerHeadz on Instagram claims the women’s retro will arrive on January 14th, 2023 for $200 USD.
