Salehe Bembury Reveals New Balance 990v2 Collaboration

Salehe Bembury Reveals New Balance 990v2 Collaboration

Following his departure from Versace, Salehe Bembury‘s collaborative output increased dramatically. Looking at his New Balance partnership alone, the designer went on to craft two colorways of the 2002R as well as multiple iterations of the 574 Yurt, all of which have become collector’s items in their own right. And now, for his next pair of NBs, Bembury is setting his sights on the 990v2.

A mash-up of colors characteristic of the Bembury name, this 990v2 features a vibrant, multi-color palette that’s somewhat floral-esque. A light pink is used throughout the shoe, most notably across the upper’s suede, while a coral-like shade comes in along the mesh underlays as well as the midsole and hangtag. Purple, then, highlights the chenille across the “N” logo, the trim around the toe, and the “990” branding embroidered onto the tongue.

For a quick look at the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990v2, see below. More details about the release should surface soon, so sit tight.
