New Balance 990v2 Made In USA “Black” Releases On July 7th

Teddy Santis has unquestionably helped energize New Balance unlike any other collaborator before him. As creative director of the company’s Made In USA category, the Queens-native has brought his stylish vision to the likes of the New Balance 990v2.

Previously released in “Sea Salt,” the silhouette has recently surfaced in an equally muted, but versatile “Black” ensemble. Akin to other accesible pairs from the New England institution, the upcoming sneakers’ dark outfit boasts high-quality suede and breathable, performance-informed mesh. The Aimé Leon Dore-frontman keeps things simple, allowing for the 24-year-old shoe design to steal the spotlight with its original specifications. Branding on thew sock-liner, however, receives an update to reflect Santis’ penchant for clean and minimal branding. Lastly, the tried-and-proven cushioning solution underfoot opts for an off-white look that flirts with the “vintage” aesthetic that’s become synonymous with other ALD x NB collaborations.

Enjoy product shots of the pair ahead, as you wait to secure your pair via NewBalance.com on Thursday, July 7th, for $195 USD.
