Michael Le If you didn’t know, 2022 marks not only the 35th Anniversary of Air Max but also the 25th Anniversary of the ever-beloved Air Max 97. And to celebrate the occasion, Nike has dressed the silhouette up in a reimagined “Atlantic Blue” colorway, one that borrows elements from yet another one of the silhouette’s many iconic appearances.
Last released in 2017, the original “Atlantic Blue” featured its titular color across much of the upper, overlaying these cool-toned panels atop a silver metallic base. And for 2022, much of this design is kept intact, albeit with the addition of black accents across the mudguard, tongue, and “Voltage Yellow” dressed sole unit.
