Sneaker News Yet another style of the Air Force 1, crafted specifically in the direction of the silhouette’s 40th Anniversary, has appeared with a batch of new details. While the construction stays true to the 1982 classic, this AF1 High has some thoughtful touches that you might miss the first time around.
Arriving in a sail and blue colorway, this Air Force 1 High stamps the heel with a “40” surrounded by stars — a nod to the outsole traction of the shoe. Miniature checks sit at the forefoot in its traditional seat, while a golden eyelet appears at the very top of the collar. Inside, the insignia of the shoe’s prime architect Bruce Kilgore is embroidered onto the inner side, while the 82-22 mark sits at the insole.
