Although Bruce Kilgore’s original Nike Air Force 1 silhouette celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, the milestone hasn’t deterred the brand from continuing to experiment with the design. Case in point?: The women’s PLT.AF.ORM version.
As suggested by the pair’s name, the relatively new style brings Kilgore’s creation from 1982 to new heights. A reworked upper provides an updated and fashion-forward take to the made-for-basketball layout, with profile swooshes opting for non-standard arrangements. The out of kilter update up-top works in-tandem with the fissured sole unit to give the Air Force 1-variant an experimental look. “Sage” and “Beetroot” hues further expand on the sneaker’s newness, delivering yet another color combination to the expansive roster enjoyed by the Nike Sportswear staple.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before summer ends.
