Over the last 37 years, the Nike Dunk High has emerged in hundreds of ensembles, taking inspiration from everything from college sports to teddy bears. Along the way, the late Peter Moore’s design has indulged in styles rather similar to those introduced by some of its collaborators.
Recently, the silhouette emerged in a straightforward ensemble that arranges a dark blue with black and white in a similar fashion to AMBUSH with its “Deep Royal Blue” collaboration from June 15th, 2021. The pair’s titular hue takes over panels around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel, allowing for profile swooshes to take on a pitch-dark look and all remaining real estate to don a “colorless” arrangement. Collars maintain their standard height, just as branding follows traditional guidelines, delivering the Swoosh’s latest Nike Dunk solo effort. The influence of Yoon Ahn and VERBAL of the aforementioned Japanese imprint, however, can’t be denied.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before 2022 ends.
