Stussy and NIKE, Inc.’s relationship spans the better part of 20 years, with the last half decade seeing a mix of retros and new styles from the storied partnership.
Along the way, the New York City-institution has lent its creative vision to Converse, which joined the Swoosh conglomerate in mid-2003. Ahead of autumn, the internationally-established tribe has revisited its archives for its latest Chuck 70 high-top sneaker. Referencing Southern California style, Stussy has added its scarcely-used Surfman motif to the traditionally-canvas silhouette. As has been the case with some of the streetwear label’s Nike collaborations of the last few years, however, durable canvas is replaced with eco-friendly hemp, which receives a vibrant pink makeover. Stussy’s “All Star” logo appears on a custom tab at the top of the tongue, while “license plates” at the midsole don an unvarnished look. Lastly, heat transfer patches land on the medial ankle, further expanding the Converse Chuck 70‘s already-wide catalog of designs.
Enjoy product imagery ahead, and try your luck at a pair via Converse.com on September 1st for $110 USD.
