Jovani Hernandez Despite Nike Basketball continuously being on the edge of performance innovation, the team continues to reimagine its original silhouette – the Nike Blazer Mid – in lifestyle-focused ensembles.
Recently, the 1970s design (and the Blazer Low) emerged in compelling outfits coupling shades of sky blue with off-white sole units. The pairs fall in-line with others – including those by Nike SB – in that they favor suede reinforcement for their toe and lateral forefoot areas. Profile swooshes, labels at the top of the tongue and spine overlays indulge in the deepest shade of the titular tone, creating a handsome arrangement for year-round use. Underfoot, the herringbone-patterned traction opts for an off-white makeover that also takes over the midsole for a slightly-“aged” aesthetic.
