Jared Ebanks After receiving our first look at the upcoming capsule collection between Awake NY and ASICS earlier this month, a global release date has finally been set for the tasteful offerings of the ASICS GEL-Lyte III that once remained a mystery.
Rendering combinations of Green and Cream, “Wheat” and “Sky Blue” and titular magenta, all three options of the ASICS GEL-Lyte III are inscribed with metallic silver “AWAKE NY” branding along the heel while suede overlays hold the dominant shade in each proposition, taking over the former leather construction. Dark netting inserted underneath a translucent Tiger Stripe overlay and heel tab provides a unique contrast to the 1991 runner’s colorfully treated upper. Constant across all three a white midsole, matching laces and collar lining cleanly concludes the streetwear label’s latest capsule.
While sizes have already released on the Japanese footwear brand’s site for a retail price of $130, the trio of colorways is set to launch globally this Thursday, September 2nd. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the upcoming ASICS GEL-Lyte III capsule below.
