The Nike Air Max 97 Shines In “Metallic Gold”

The Nike Air Max 97 Shines In “Metallic Gold”

Although the sneaker world has been eagerly waiting for the Nike Air Max 97 to return to original “Silver Bullet” form for its 25th anniversary, causal and savvy fans alike have been treated to a number of new styles of Christian Tresser’s iconic design.

Recently, the full-length Air bubble-donning silhouette emerged in a two-tone “Metallic Gold” and “Black” ensemble. Reminiscent of the Foamposite-featuring Air Force 1 High propositions of the 2010s, the newly-surfaced pair boasts varying shades of luxurious gold across its upper, simultaneously evoking the “Gold Bullet” colorway that’s also expected to return soon. Stark “Black” contrast, then, takes over the tongue, inner-lining and sole unit underfoot, including the Air Max solution. Lastly, vamp overlays and detailing on the tongue round out the fall-friendly take with reflective finishes that allow for the 1997 design to make a statement even in poorly lit situations.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com release before the year ends.
