Jared Ebanks As LeBron James’ vast collection of signature silhouettes – culminating in the LeBron 20 for the upcoming season – continues to receive the retro treatment, only a handful of models have enjoyed a rerelease in concert with popular in-line offerings. Next Thursday, however, The King’s line will be graced by its earliest and most exclusive proposition yet, a Players Exclusive Nike LeBron 2.
For its first retro release, the brand delved deep into its heritage-filled archives, bringing back the one-off white and gold combination worn by James in an exhibition game against Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv back in 2004. The mid 2000’s aesthetic is familiar throughout the two-toned white leather and golden textured upper, ankle strap and hidden underlying laser-etched pattern. LeBron’s original badge logo can be found on the medial side strap and lower heel above the gold-painted Zoom Air bag and subsequent white textured tread that harkens back to the original premium design elements.
The Nike LeBron 2 “Maccabi Tel Aviv” returns for the first time next Thursday, September 23rd for a retail price of $215. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair below alongside subsequent links for purchase on the day of the drop.
For more under The Swooshes basketball umbrella, the latest colorway of the Nike Zoom GT Cut 2 employs an ensemble of tan, orange and light violet.
