Under the tutelage of Nike SB — as well as a few of the sub-label’s collaborators — the Air Jordan 1 was frequently introduced to wear-away uppers. And in a recent run of inline colorways, the Jumpman has recreated the feeling of these very releases, albeit in pre-distressed fashion.
Preparing to hit the shelves in brand new colors, the Air Jordan 1 Low “Wear-Away” is about to offer its third of what could be many more releases. Along what could have been a relatively average black-on-white colorway, Jordan Brand has distressed the overlays to the point where hints of yellow are becoming exposed. This is done to varying degrees, with the heel scuffed just enough to make the dark Wings logo more readable. And save for the multi-color lining and yellow Jumpman, the rest of the design is much more understated.
