The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Movement Continues With A Fresh “Black/Gum”

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Movement Continues With A Fresh “Black/Gum”

Whether it be re-issues of foregone classics or collaborations with the likes of Stussy, the Air Force 1 Mid has pushed itself back into the fold on the strength of a consistent effort by the Swoosh. Often viewed as the middle child of the Air Force 1 family, the Mid is hardly “mid”, with new offerings like this black/gum further proving that point.

Dressed in a mix of textured leathers, this Air Force 1 sees a smooth finish on the dark grey underlay at the toe-box and mid-panel, while a synthetic covers the overlay with a slight tumbled texture. The tongue, strap, and inner lining keeps consistent with the sleek black coloring, while a midsole combination of sail and gum provides that lifestyle-friend look that is king on street fashion. Mimicking the various Air Force 1 Craft offerings, which saw premium uppers with solid sail soles, this AF1 Mid achieves that same premium look with minimum effort.

A release is headed to Nike.com soon; see the official images ahead.
