Despite being founded only last week, the Swoosh’s newest venture, the Nike Moving Company, has already gone through quite a few rounds of hiring. And after onboarding not just one but three different Air Force 1s, the growing outfit is welcoming the Air Max 97 to the team.
Similar to its Bruce Kilgore-designed counterparts, this Air Max 97 is inspired by the usual packing materials and paraphernalia. A dark brown is brushed along the shoe’s suede and leather overlays, ostensibly nodding to the humble cardboard box. Underneath, a lighter tan is applied to the canvas base, which is subtly quilted in a way reminiscent of the covers typically used to protect large pieces of furniture. The green accents, however, are much more straightforward, as they help brand the shoe by way of its embroidered Swooshes and snail-inspired insignia.

In other news, the UNDERCOVER Air Force 1 Grey Fog is dropping in a week.
