The Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX Is Built For Any Situation

The Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX Is Built For Any Situation

Humidity has been serving the New Orleans skateboarding community for the better part of the last 26 years. And for their latest joint effort with Vans, the skate shop is crafting a shoe built specifically for the Big Easy. Dubbed the Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX, the collaboration is a complete overhaul of the much-beloved classic and spiritually channels its DIY origins.

At the hands of store owner Phillip Santosuosso, the Half Cab has been rebuilt with parts from several adjacent Vans’ styles, culminating in an entirely new creation that’s “built for ANY situation.” Alongside a weather-resistant construction, which is clothed entirely in black, the pair features lugged Wafflecup soles, reflective laces, and daisy-chained webbing across the heel. Moreover, branding is similarly standout, proffering oversized GORE-TEX logos, embossed Half Cab stamps, and Humidity branding along the tongue.

For a closer look at the Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX, check out the campaign imagery below. These will be available this Friday, October 7th, via Humidity; a wider release through select Vans retailers will then follow on October 19th.

In unrelated news, early images of the Air Jordan 5 Aqua have just surfaced.
