Nike Blends Sashiko Methods And Neons On The Air Force 1 Low

Nike Blends Sashiko Methods And Neons On The Air Force 1 Low

As the Nike Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary continues through the fall, the silhouette keeps indulging in color palettes and themes appropriate for the autumn.

Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic silhouette emerged in another greyscale arrangement accompanied by thread work reminiscent of Japan’s sashiko tradition. Hits of neon green and orange animate stitching along the forefoot and mid-foot, whereas much of the heel panels opt for a white counterpart that contrasts the dark grey textile. Elsewhere on the Air Force 1, pull tabs on the top of the tongue and spine further animate the shoe, while midsoles favor an “aged” aesthetic that compliments the craftwork up top well.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
