Jared Ebanks Quietly enjoying its 25th anniversary, shipping and logistical issues have played a major role in the brand’s lackluster celebration of MJ’s 13th signature silhouette, but recently surfaced images at Sole Fly’s latest collaboration hints at the commemoration continuing on through 2023.
Continuously experimenting with the blue-shaded tonal spectrum by way of the “French Blue”, “University Blue” and “Brave Blue” 13s, Miami-based boutique – Sole Fly – is teaming up with Jumpman once again and extending the presiding color palette for a Baby Blue offering.
Employing His Airness’ long-standing tributes to the University of North Carolina, Tar Heel hues paint the model’s premium tooling of suede and ripstop nylon that constructs the upper. Samples of light cream fill the tongue construction, knit laces fit with black accents and the vamp whereas the grey mudguard and heel section establish a darkened contrast amidst the sneakers clad blue padded panel. Underfoot, the sole unit concludes with the medley of tones whereas embroidered Sole Fly insignias bear the upper tongue and elephant-print insoles.
