Seeped in basketball heritage, the low-top counterpart to the New Balance 650 has continued to enjoy the shine of a new spotlight under the creative direction of Teddy Santis at Aimé Leon Dore since 2020. Proffering a constant influx of fall-friendly propositions, the Boston-based brand is now taking special care to outfit the ladies in the New Balance 550.
Employing a trio of neutral tones, smooth white leathers dominate the upper from head to toe including its bulbous midfoot insignia. Further crisp white hues treat the tongue construction and laces while dark beige mesh installs earthy contrasts along the sock liner and padded heel counter with the shade color-matching the heel tread and NB logo above. A sliver of cream accents in between the heel and its medley of tones concluding along the silhouette’s tread.
Enjoy official images of the women’s-exclusive 550 expected to release for $110 while we sit tight on additional release information made available by the brand.
