Combining the new school with its proven and historic track record, the Golden State Warriors and the New Balance 2002R share a lot more than meets the eye. The reigning NBA champions are at full strength when their explosive and youthful group of Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody mesh effortlessly with their core of future Hall of Famers headlined by Stephen Curry.
Since returning to New Balance’s catalog of refined “dad shoes”, the 2002R has been reinvigorated by various tried-and-true neutral tones and suede constructions, now embarking on the Bay Area’s synonymous tonal spectrum.
Centered around smooth leather panels of the upper and color-matched white laces, jet-black contrasts treat the suede construction of the forefoot and 2002R-branded collar. Injecting the Dubs color palette throughout its underlying mesh windows, the vamp bears a titular “Vibrant Apricot” whereas the heel proffers a “Royal Blue” hue. Further insignias affixed to the tongue and heel counter build off of the aforementioned pairing while the midfoot “N” logo renders a gradient scheme. Underfoot, a clad cream ABZORB sole unit sits atop yellow and blue shaded heel pods whereas the tread is anchored by a concluding black outfit.
