With Teddy Santis taking over creative control at New Balance, the brand’s recent revitalization has skyrocketed via the MADE In USA collection, while collaborative offerings with his own label – Aimé Leon Dore – have refused to take a backseat. Less than a month after dropping a trio of New Balance 650’s, the latest joint proposition is set to release a duo of 550’s tomorrow.
Much more minimal in its aesthetic compared to past builds, the silhouette’s differ from one another by employing either a “Sail” and white leather combination or a dominant grey suede offering. Identical in its use of an aged vanilla-hued sole unit, crisp white tongue construction, sock liner, vamp and fuzzy “Tapue” midfoot logo, the pair of silhouettes remains disparate once again via its selection of clad white or “Royal Blue” ALD-branded tongue tabs.
Set to debut via raffle tomorrow, October 31st at aimeleondore.com, enjoy one last look at official images of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 below in the meantime.
For more from the New England-based institution, a UK-Made New Balance 1500 is releasing on Wednesday, November 2nd.
